TERMS & CONDITIONS
PLEASURE PRACTICE SERVICES
Dr. Nicole Thompson is a psychotherapist with advanced clinical training in relational, somatic, and psychedelic-assisted psychotherapies. Through The Pleasure Practice, she offers services to individuals and groups across the United States and internationally. Because licensure laws restrict the practice of psychotherapy across state and national boundaries, services provided through The Pleasure Practice are offered in a coaching and educational capacity rather than as psychotherapy or medical treatment.
This structure allows participants from diverse locations to engage in pleasure-based, relational, and personal development work while maintaining clear ethical and legal boundaries. If you have questions about the nature of these services or whether they are appropriate for your needs, please do reach out to our team.
These terms and conditions ("Agreement") govern the provision of coaching services ("Coaching Services") by The Pleasure Practice LLC ("we," "us," or "our") to individuals ("you" or "Client"). By engaging in the Coaching Services, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

Scope of Services
1.1 The Pleasure Practice LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides coaching, educational, and experiential services (“Coaching Services”), which may include individual or group sessions, workshops, retreats, and digital offerings. The scope and structure of these services will be agreed upon between you (“Client”) and us. We will provide all Coaching Services in a professional and timely manner, consistent with our expertise and ethical standards.
1.2 Although Dr. Nicole Thompson is a psychotherapist, in this context she is serving solely as a coach. This relationship does not establish a therapist–client relationship. Dr. Nicole will not provide a diagnosis, psychotherapy, or treatment plans. I, the undersigned client, understand and consent to participate in pleasure-based coaching provided. I understand that coaching is not a substitute for psychotherapy or medical treatment. Coaching is a non-clinical, goal-focused process that supports personal or professional development, performance, and decision-making, and it does not involve evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, psychotherapy, or ketamine-assisted psychotherapy. It is not a licensed healthcare service and does not provide clinical assessment, psychotherapy, or mental health treatment. This does not establish a therapist-client, doctor-patient, or any other professional healthcare relationship.
1.3 While confidentiality is respected, coaching is not subject to HIPAA or psychotherapy confidentiality laws. You understand that electronic communications (email, text, video) may not be encrypted, and you assume responsibility for the confidentiality risks associated with these methods.
2. Client Responsibilities
2.1 You are responsible for actively engaging in the Coaching Services, setting goals, and completing any assigned tasks or exercises. You understand that the success of the coaching process depends on your commitment, openness, and willingness to take action.
2.2 You acknowledge that coaching is not a substitute for psychotherapy, diagnosis, or medical treatment. Although Dr. Nicole Thompson is a psychotherapist, she serves solely as a coach in this context. You are solely responsible for your own physical, emotional, and mental well-being during and after participation in Coaching Services.
3. Fees and Payment
3.1 Fees for Coaching Services include $350 for individual sessions, $450 for couple and polycule sessions, and $5,500 for 16-week group programs. Community Care Fund fees are unique and depend on your specific approved application. Payment or an approved payment plan is required at the time of booking the service. Cancellations require at least 48 hours’ notice; otherwise, the full session fee will be charged. For group programs, all payments and payment plans are final after receiving your deposit, even if you discontinue participation before the program’s beginning or completion.
By making a payment, you authorize The Pleasure Practice LLC to process transactions electronically and for Stripe to store your payment information securely for ongoing billing as agreed.
3.2 All fees are non-refundable, unless otherwise stated in writing or as required by law.
4. Group Programs
4.1 Enrollment in a group program offered by The Pleasure Practice LLC (including but not limited to the Pleasure Liberation series) represents a commitment to the full sixteen- week experience. Spaces are intentionally limited to preserve the depth of the work. Once registration is confirmed through a deposit, you agree to complete payment for the full program according to the selected plan (either one payment or four payments across the 16 weeks).
4.2 Because preparation begins well in advance and your space cannot be filled by another participant after enrollment, all deposits and payments are non-refundable and non-transferable. Missed sessions cannot be rescheduled, credited, or refunded.
4.3 The Pleasure Practice is committed to cultivating a space rooted in mutual respect, consent, and collective care. All participants are expected to engage in ways that support the emotional and relational safety of the group. If behaviors arise that disrupt the integrity of the space including, but not limited to, repeated boundary violations, harmful communication, or actions that negatively impact other participants, Dr. Nicole will address these concerns directly and may offer opportunities for repair or remediation.
However, participation in the group is contingent upon a demonstrated willingness and capacity to engage in this process. If, after reasonable attempts at repair, a participant continues to engage in behaviors that are misaligned with the values and safety of the group, Dr. Nicole reserves the right to remove the participant from the program. In such cases, removal from the group will occur without refund. By joining The Pleasure Practice, participants agree to uphold the integrity of the space and understand that this container prioritizes the well-being of the collective.

5.2 The Client further acknowledges that they are not purchasing, seeking, or expecting psychotherapy or ketamine-assisted therapy, and that any ketamine services or other psychedelics, if applicable, are provided independently by a licensed medical provider or legal provider, separate from and outside the scope of this coaching relationship.
5.3 The Client acknowledges and agrees that they are responsible for informing their licensed medical provider(s), including any provider prescribing or administering ketamine, that they are participating in coaching services with Dr. Nicole Thompson. The Client understands that this coaching relationship is separate from any medical or mental health care and agrees that Dr. Nicole Thompson is not responsible for coordinating, monitoring, or managing medical or psychological treatment.

7.2 Coaching Services are provided on an “as-is” basis. We make no guarantees, expressed or implied, regarding specific outcomes or results. You acknowledge that participation in coaching, somatic, or experiential practices is voluntary and may involve physical or emotional discomfort. You agree to assume all risks associated with your participation and release The Pleasure Practice LLC and Dr. Nicole Thompson from any and all claims or liabilities arising from your engagement in Coaching Services.
8. Termination
8.1 Either party may terminate the coaching relationship at any time, with or without cause, by providing written notice. Termination does not relieve you of financial obligations for session minimums, services already rendered or booked without 48 hour notice, or for group programs paid in full. For group programs, all payments remain final even if participation ends early.
9. Governing Law
9.1 This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois. Any dispute arising out of or related to this Agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Cook County, Illinois.
